About Daunia Mine:
Daunia is an established operation in the Bowen Basin, which has been producing high quality metallurgical coal for the export market since 2013. It is located south-east of Moranbah, adjacent to Whitehaven’s existing Winchester South development project. Joining the Maintenance team, you will be working in an exciting, fast-paced team environment which is dynamic and strives to continuously improve. Working in collaboration with site personnel you will be responsible for achieving safety and performance targets, by enabling the effective Maintenance of operational Fleet.
Reporting to the Supervisor Maintenance, you will safely execute the daily maintenance plan. You will take an active role in ensuring compliance to schedule philosophies, drive a strong safety culture, but also seeks to continuously improve operating efficiency.

What You’ll Do
- Trade based maintenance roles are being considered for all trade types with particular interest in Heavy Diesel Fitting, Mechanical Fitting, HV Electrical, Auto Electrical, Autonomous Technicians and Boilermakers.
- Roles are being considered for Field, Workshop (Mobile) and Fixed Plant areas.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous Experience in a Mining Maintenance environment is essential
- Experience with computer based maintenance systems (SAP) will be highly regarded
- The ability to work in high intensity environments, under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- High attention to detail and the ability to identify and execute improvements to continuously optimise performance.
- A willingness to learn and develop skills in all areas of mining maintenance is essential.
- CAT Command Autonomous Haulage System experience is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to adhere and live the Whitehaven Values and contribute to a collaborative organisational culture.
- Ability to pass a QLD Coal Board Medical
- High level of computer literacy and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
